Key players from Bahrain’s Meetings, Incentives, Conventions, and Exhibitions (MICE) industry are stepping up to the plate to develop the Middle East’s event industry by sponsoring its fourth UFI

Key players from Bahrain’s Meetings, Incentives, Conventions, and Exhibitions (MICE) industry are stepping up to the plate to develop the Middle East’s event industry by sponsoring its fourth UFI Open Seminar in the Middle East themed, “Toolbox for Future Exhibition Management,” which runs from March 29-31, 2010 in Manama.

Gulf Air, Arabian Exhibition Management, Cityneon, and PICO are associating their brand with a proven industry event and trusted brand – UFI, the Global Association of the Exhibition industry – which represents 540 member organizations comprising exhibition organizers, hall owner managers, associations, and partners of the exhibition industry present in 82 countries on the six continents.

Hosted by Bahrain Exhibition & Convention Authority (BECA), the annual regional event is expected to attract the participation of 75 to 100 delegates from different parts of the world. So prestigious is this event that it has the support of global players in the market including US-based BPA Worldwide, Saudi-based Dhahran International Exhibitions Company, with National Exhibitions and Conferences Committee of the United Arab Emirates as the Platinum Sponsor. Media sponsors include German publication m+a and UK-based Exhibition World.

“We are delighted that leading Bahrain-based companies are actively giving their full support in the ongoing development of the MICE industry,” said Hassan Jaffar Mohamed, CEO of BECA. “Apart from the obvious benefits of aligning their brand with UFI, exhibition sponsorship also allows the sponsors from Bahrain to network with and achieve exposure to the industry they operate in, in an atmosphere of cooperation and with a sense of shared destiny.”

“UFI events have always been ideal platforms for gathering exhibition industry representatives in one place. As such they provide ideal opportunities to quality sponsors. The UFI Open Seminar in the Middle East 2010 is an example of this, and we are glad to see such enthusiastic support from these international organizations. Everyone will be using this event to its best advantage,” Ibrahim Alkhaldi, UFI Middle East/Africa regional manager commented.

Moderated by Paul Woodward, UFI Asia/Pacific regional manager, Hong Kong, the three-day event will feature CEOs or managing directors from Cape Town, Munich, Cologne, Paris, Maarssen, Amman, Abu Dhabi, and Manama who have been invited to speak about their field of specialization.
