Seychelles launches its Subios promotional poster for its 2011 Underwater Festival

Seychelles has published its 2011 promotional poster for their 2011 Underwater Festival.

Seychelles has published its 2011 promotional poster for their 2011 Underwater Festival. The poster depicts the clear turquoise blue seas of the Seychelles with their unique white sandy beaches and lush green landscape in the background.

“We looked for a picture perfect scene that did our destination justice,” Alain St.Ange, the CEO of the Seychelles Tourism Board and eTurboNews ambassador said. “We are blessed with a pristine and clean environment, unlike many other destinations where the country does not do justice to the pictures they use for their publicity; for Seychelles, pictures can never do justice to the beauty of our islands,” Alain St.Ange said.

The 2011 edition of the Seychelles Underwater Festival (Subios), will be held in October next year where again an international competition will be staged for best underwater pictures and films.

Seychelles remains the ideal destination for such an annual festival. The islands are unique mid-ocean granitic islands with a number of coral islands surrounding their mountainous granitic ones. That diversity of islands (granitic and coral) enables the Seychelles to offer different dive possibilities. The islands only have a population of some 86,000 inhabitants, which has left the Seychelles as one of the cleanest and most pristine tourist inslands.

Seychelles still offers to this day swims and dives with sea turtles and their “gentle giants,” the whale shark.
